He Lied!

Yep, the little guy's full of lies!

All Lies!

We give him one day a year to speak to us and he told us a lie.

Spring is NOT 6 more weeks away!  Spring is HERE...
but that chubby little groundhog told us it was 6 weeks away!

proof that he was lying...my crocus's... blog edit ...Crocuses?...
known for being the first flowers of spring...

mine are blooming...

So, to celebrate the arrival of spring, in February...
I decided it was time to adorn our door wreath with some "spring"
here's my ChambersMade Spring door wreath...

supplies
*1 natural grape vine wreath, (this one is at least 5 years old, maybe older...I just decorate it for different seasons so you only ever have to buy one, usually they run between $2.50 and $10 depending on the size and time of year)
*2 steams of cheap pink (or any other color you want) fake flowers (got mine today at Michaels for $1.75 each)
*1 cute pink hummingbird (also on sale at Michaels today for $1.75)
*2 stalks of real leaves off of my Camila tree, these leaves stay green for a long time, other good leaves are citrus leaves.

now just cut up your pink steams and start sticking them into your wreath, add your greenery, and then clip on your hummingbird...

there you go...our ChambersMade Spring Wreath already on the door, I might add some small fake Easter eggs towards the end of March (Easter's April 4th this year)...but so far, this is our spring door, and will probably stay this way until summer!

oh, and meet Hummy...

isn't she cute!
