we are planting a garden....from scratch...
we stared with seeds yesterday...
the kids got to pick out the seeds a few days ago*

the kids are excited about their garden...
we will buy some plants (already bought 2 tomatoes plants and a pepper)
but I love the fact that we're going to try to start some from seeds...

I bought some of those starter pot thingies
put them into large boxes
the kids filled them with soil
watered it
poked holes in the dirt
then planted the seeds and labeled the rows...

and now we just wait and watch and see if any little green things sprout up...
and water them...
....
oh, and take our seeds outside every morning and bring them inside every night...
I guessing if our attempts fail this will be the reason...
we may get tired/forget about bringing them inside...
...also a little worried that a neighbor cat may decide this looks like a litter box...

ps...the kids are already planning on selling their wares...
they have this idea that we will have a mini pumpkin patch in the back yard and they can charge admission...
they've even spent their money...
they plan to buy tickets to Disneyland!
