toothless

boy child lost a tooth last night...
...no literally...
     HE LOST HIS TOOTH

big ol' gap...top tooth lost a few weeks ago
& then bottom one last night
we're sitting at dinner talking about loose teeth
...both boy and girl child have multiple loose teeth right now...

boy child had dad feel all 3 of this loose teeth...
girl child wanted to have dad feel her loose teeth but then chickened out
...dinner continues...
boy child is eating a chicken leg...
gets some grisly grossness in his mouth and I tell him to go spit it out...
...dinner continues...

dinner is wrapping up...
boy child and I both clear our plates
girl child and dad are still at table...

boy child says, 'I lost my tooth'...
which is sort of a joke he does because his baby teeth are teeny tiny and he has gaps so sometimes it can look like there is a tooth missing when really its just his tiny teeth in his big ol mouth!

we all laugh...
then, 'No, really I just lost my tooth!'
dad...'Where is it?'
boy...'I don't know, I LOST my tooth!'
mom...'when did it fall out?'
boy...'I don't know I LOST it!'

family searches the table, his mouth, the floor
mom is now searching the trash thinking he spit it out with the grisly grossness
or threw it away with his dinner plate
(yes we were eating on paper plates...we're fancy like that!)

SHEESH...no tooth...
now dad is trying to remember if the tooth was actually in his mouth when he was feeling all the loose teeth...
he can't remember...

the boy and girl child were playing outside for a few hours before dinner...
...playing dragons and unicorns can totally make a tooth fall out, dragons loose their teeth all the time, so much so that they don't even KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE LOST ONE!!!!

I walk back over for a third look-see thru the trash...
....maybe I can find a piece of grisly grossness that can pass as his tooth and he'll never know
I really...
REALLY....to the tenth power REALLY!
don't want to try to find a tooth outside in the yard...at night...when it's cold....

then I step on something...
yep, a little teeny tiny tooth was just right there on the floor...

end of story...
nope...
that crazy disapearing tooth did a disapearing act on the tooth fairy also...

boy child all tucked snuggly into bed with tooth fairy box tucked all sunggly under his pillow
tooth fairy box from Michaels $1...
boy child opted to keep it unpainted

tooth fairy does the 'exchange'...
only she can't find the tooth...it's not in the box...
...she takes the box out from under the pillow
....her stealthiness usually allows her to make the exchange without removing the box from under the pillow...
she's almost a ninja!
STILL NO TOOTH
that poor little fairy was now searching all over for a teeny tiny little tooth...
NADA...

ninja tooth fairy leaves the scene before she looses her ninja'ness...

mom wakes up boy child for school...
boy child finds $ from tooth fairy...
boy child gets dressed...throws pj's on bed...pillow had fallen off bed throws that back on bed...
mom walks into room and sees a teeny tiny little tooth resting so sweetly on the edge of boy child's bed...
do you see the teeny tiny little tooth?

I think we may  have a ninja tooth!

blog update...the very next week boy child lost ANOTHER tooth...at school...
and he LOST it..has no idea when or where it fell out...he just had a missing tooth!

LOL. My son gets squeamish with his loose teeth. Your boy sure is a brave one. The tooth fairy ninja moves is the funniest thing.
